Mimosa Agency required a series of video composites that could be used in a social media marketing campaign. The brief was to create something fun, and energetic that could be adapted across various platforms

Gottlieb Wallisch

A promotional motion graphic for an album launch


Brief

Gottlieb is a classical pianist and professor of piano at UdK Berlin. His current CD-project deals with jazz-influenced dances from the 1920ies/-30ies for piano. It is called „20th Century Foxtrots“. For this third album, he had been unable to secure a video recording of the album recording session as for the previous two albums but still needed a promotional video. As such, I created a motion graphic pairing a generative abstract background with motion graphic typography that matched the previous two videos.

I also did a social media edit. I cut it down to 30s which was the maximum video length allowed on an Instagram feed video at the time. I Additionally I reformatted it to a 4:5 vertical ratio displays more effectively within the Instagram app.

Animation Experiments

An ongoing self-motivated motion design project


 

Brief

The idea behind these experiments is to take a still image and use it as the starting point to build a short motion graphic or animation. I started this project in order to teach myself motion design and animation in a casual low stakes way.
