Brief

My collaboration with Vizma is ongoing and always evolving. The brief started off as designing a simple poster and programme booklet for her graduation concert and has grown to include filming performances, audition videos and music videos; taking photography for tour promotion; producing social media content; and more recently naturally grown into growing Vizma’s brand with a website redesign and producing business cards.

Throughout the process, the brief has always been simple: capture the essence of the performance being promoted or in the case of her website and business cards Vizma as a Performer. Together as she has explored and developed her vocal voice, I have worked with her to form the visual voice to accompany it through an emergent organic process of experimentation.

Business Cards

For Vizma’s business cards I kept things simple and elegant.

The colour palette references the colour palette of her website to maintain coherence.

The majority of her repertoire is contemporary-leaning art-song, I wanted to represent this in the typography.

For her name, Ariel Signatur was selected; a script font that captures the character of a signature while maintaining the legibility of a font.

Abygaer was chosen for the complimentary font on the front. The wavy high contrast serif is modern, chic, and luxurious. the perfect complement to Vizma’s repertoire
